Our senior recipient was nominated by Mr. Juguilon. He comments that this student is always willing to help out and he does it with a welcoming smile. He has spent his years helping out with Theater both as a member of the cast and crew. Whenever he is asked to help, he does so without complaint. He often volunteers to do more than what is expected of him to ensure his fellow classmates can have the best experience. Mr. Juguilon has witnessed him demonstrate compassion to his classmates in small ways, like staying late after a rehearsal to help a student who lost her car keys. He is always willing to give of himself and does so cheerfully.
Ms. Lanzola adds that this student leads with a servant’s heart. He is consistently putting the needs of others ahead of his own. He is a student who can be counted on to assist with whatever is needed, whether it is raking leaves for an elderly neighbor or working in our garden. He is kind to everyone he meets and makes everyone around him feel welcome and comfortable.
The recipient of the Pillar of Compassion Award at the senior level is Sean Bryson.
